Editor: On Sunday, July 3, we had to beach our 47-foot steel boat between Roberts Creek and Sechelt.

Editor: I hope Sechelt recognizes outstanding citizens, because I would like to nominate a fireman named Dwight who appeared out of nowhere in the instant we needed him.

Editor: Words cannot convey our gratitude to the BC Ferries personnel and the paramedics who came to my wife’s aid during a medical condition.

Editor: I’m just your average Coast homeowner who, like many others, spent time hydrating my veggies with grey water last summer. And like everyone else, I wish to see a solution to water shortage problems.

SCRD Board: Re: Chapman Lake Water Supply Expansion Project. I am writing to express my opposition to this proposed project in the absence of a proper environmental review.

Sechelt Mayor and Council: I wish to extend heartfelt gratitude for your decision to proclaim July 9, 2016 Emilie Shaw Day in Sechelt, in honour of my mom’s 107th birthday.

Editor: Re: “Embrace VCH plan” by Daniel Fontaine, Letters, July 8. I have worked in seniors residential care for many years and find information in Mr. Fontaine’s letter misleading.

Editor: I attended along with many older adults the town hall meeting last week hoping to get some information about the proposed new extended care project. One day I might need this facility.
