About

The Coast Reporter has been an integral part of the Sunshine Coast for more than 25 years. Established in 1997, the Coast's community news source and newspaper of record covers local government, arts, sports, community and so much more from Port Mellon to Egmont. We are honoured to be reporting on the swiya of the shíshálh people and territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw.

We have been fortunate enough to win dozens of awards over our decades, including many BC & Yukon Community Newspaper Association 'Ma Murrays,' several Canadian Community Newspaper Awards and one year, the prestigious Suburban Newspaper Association's top prize for a newspaper in North America in our circulation category.

However, what we're most proud of is our community's response to the job we do each week. We're delighted that on a daily basis, people phone us with tips, concerns and praise. It shows we truly touch the community all of us are proud to call home.

Call us at 604-885-4811 or email [email protected]. We'd love to hear from you.
