The Elphinstone senior girls volleyball team continued its strong early season play winning the silver tier at a tournament at Trinity Western University last weekend. The Cougars finished 17th at the 48-team event.

In the women's league, the ever-second-place,always-a-bridesmaid Blazers look like the team to beat this year.

Three weeks into the season the U13 Scorpions found themselves tied at the top of the league standings, with the South Burnaby Strikers. As luck would have it, the Strikers came Sechelt on Oct. 1 for a match with the Scorpions.
