Editor: Thank you very much for the great article on Hidden Grove ("Exposing a hidden gem," Coast Reporter, July 16). Especially thank you for expressing appreciation to the volunteers who work so hard to make and groom the trails for all to use.

Editor: I have resided in Sechelt for the past 14 years, and as long as I've been here, the most bandied about term used to hold back the development of this potentially beautiful, small coastal town is the official community plan (OCP).

Editor: Edward Keeling suggests the Sunshine Coast should aggressively seek out high-tech companies to locate here and not more hotels, conference centres or tourists ("Light industry, not hotel," Coast Reporter letters, July 23).

Encouraging signs are emerging this week up and down the Coast as community groups and political leaders continue to move towards the goal of a truly zero-waste community.

An open letter to District of Sechelt mayor and council: Sechelt property taxpayers pay you and District staff to do a quality job for us. We also pay you our hard-earned tax dollars to keep our roads safe.

Editor: Re: "Coast hears Sooke's hotel-attraction tips" (Coast Reporter, July 9).

Editor: I am a long-time, frequent walk-on commuter and have some comments in regards to the service levels on the Langdale route. Simply put, there are not enough sailings in the late afternoon during the busy late spring to fall period.

It's Golden Girl time on the Coast. And no, this isn't letting the cat out of the bag.
