Hungry kids: facts are hard to believe

Editor: Last week's Coast Reporter would have us believe that one-third of Coast families cannot afford to feed their children breakfast. One-third? I hate to sound heartless, but I find that hard to believe. We don't live in a third-world country.

Editor: Gas prices here on the Sunshine Coast are the same as inMetro Vancouver. Metro Vancouver has a 17 cent per litre transit tax. Why are the residents of the Sunshine Coast being ripped off? I propose that the residents only purchase gas.
