Editor: This Halloween, let's remember to feed the Food Bank. We are a group of students who will be collecting donations of food and money this Saturday, Oct. 30, at Sunnycrest Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Editor: Amid all the fuss about Davis Bay shoulders and seawalls, seniors and signals, stop signs and speed limits, the long-awaited bypass continues to surface as an alternative (albeit expensive) solution to these other troublesome plans.

Editor: I'm writing this as a citizen living on the corner of Davis Bay Road and Highway 101. I've been watching the Davis Bay highway modification debate with a mixture of amusement, amazement and deep frustration.

Editor: A woman's right to choose - these words are almost sacred today. Unfortunately, some women have not had the right to choose. Many women have been coerced or even forced to abort their wanted babies. Roxanne Fernando was such a woman.

Editor: We all use the extensive trail network that criss-crosses the landscape and the mountains here on the Coast, but seldom do we consider the effort that has gone into building these trails.

Editor: I think it's time for residents of Davis Bay to support council in their efforts to improve highway safety. The Ministry of Transportation has the expertise to identify and address highway safety issues.
