Editor: Maritime Industries Services Training (MIST) is an award-winning vocational, high school, program offered to at-risk youth on the Sunshine Coast.

Editor: My friends and family know I am not a Conservative, but I was perplexed by the letter to the editor (Coast Reporter, March 2) that suggested Mr. Weston's only option is to cross the floor now.

Editor: In the March 2 edition of Coast Reporter, it was reported that Coun. Doug Hockley does not like the current Sechelt logo.

Editor: I am in total agreement with the comments of some of the new councillors about the new Sechelt logo and branding initiatives. As staff knows very well, I adamantly opposed it and voted against it while on council.

Editor: Last week Coastal residents received yet another mailed survey from MP John Weston: Making your family our priority.

Editor: Please be aware that if you enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities that you, your kids and dogs are still in danger of stepping into hidden leg-hold and other traps.

The following letter was sent to the District of Sechelt and copied to Coast Reporter. Re: District of Sechelt logo The Village of Sechelt was incorporated on Feb. 15, 1956.

Editor: I attended the Sechelt committee of the whole meeting on Feb. 22. I was more than happy when Coun. Doug Hockley recommended looking into putting out a contest to our local citizens to create a new logo and motto for Sechelt.

Editor: I am compelled to respond to the letters regarding forest block A87124 by Mike Bowering and Ken Sneddon (Coast Reporter, Feb. 24).

In my job, I get to meet some amazing young people.
