Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s election trigger finger just got decidedly itchier.

"The little cassette tape voices in my head say both, 'Don’t let the classist, sexist patriarchy tell you how to age!' And, 'Do whatever it takes to look younger to keep your man and career.'"

Editor: This letter was sent to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. My name is Toby Wren Cavers. I am seven years old. I live in Gibsons, B.C. I am writing to suggest that we should have a Canadian National Birthday.

Editor: Seven years ago the SCRD installed nine water meters on lower Selma Park Road; the residents had complained about flooding basements and septic fields. After the installation it was found that six homes leaked water.

Editor: Re: “Taxpayers already said no” by Bud Hoffman, Letters, March 12.

Editor: My 7-year-old was enrolled in the spring CanSkate program that was supposed to start next week. We received an email last Friday, March 19, informing us his lessons have been cancelled.

Editor: “COVID is a hoax.” That’s what we encountered on a protestor’s sign as we headed to the ferry on Saturday morning to visit my father-in-law’s gravesite. He died of COVID on Nov. 30, 2020.

Editor: I simply wanted to share what we’ve done with the free postcard given to everyone by Canada Post. I know that some felt that this was a waste of tax money. But I was charmed by the invitation to send some cheer out into the world.

Editor: I wholeheartedly agree with the letter from Kathie Wraight (“101 unsafe for cyclists,” March 19).

Editor: I love the new tree bylaw. It is a clear, logical, and progressive piece of legislation passed by the Town of Gibsons last fall. Kudos to all those who put it together.
