Brewers stay unbeaten

The Lighthouse Pub/IGA Brewers remain the lone unbeaten team in the Sunshine Coast Men's Fastball League. The Brewers edged Custom Carpet 10-9 on Friday, July 19.

Pee wee Rapids fourth in B.C.

The peewee Rapids finished fourth in B.C. after a great effort at the provincial C championship in Kamloops last weekend. In the bronze medal contest, the Rapids fell 3-1 to Vanderhoof with Jake Podgorenko named team MVP.

Roller derby action returns to the Sunshine Coast next Saturday, July 27, at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre. The Sunshine Coast Roller Girls are bookending their 2013 season with two home games, one in Gibsons and one in Sechelt on Sept. 7.
