Fast paced show demonstrates talent

Show Me the Music, this year's Coast Academy of Dance (CAD) recital at the Raven's Cry Theatre, was long (over three hours), fast-paced, colourful and demonstrated some extraordinary talents.

Crawlspace launched

Coast poet John Pass's new collection of poems, crawlspace, has just been released from Harbour Publishing, and all are invited to the launch on Monday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts Centre in Sechelt.

Dance Works takes pride

Dance Works Academy held its year-end recitals last weekend in four shows that had to make parents and teachers proud. The junior student show was full of little girl snowflakes, dancing tree spirits and little boy hip hop dancers.

Last weekend's Pender Harbour Blues Festival drew full houses to every event. "We're a success," said organizer Marilyn MacLeod, with only slight surprise. Like other volunteers and directors, she worked all weekend and was loving it.
