This year's annual Show-case of the Arts put on by senior fine arts and performing arts students of Chatelech Secondary School will be presented a little earlier in the year than usual, on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Evening of jazz and original music

The Sunshine Coast Music Society presents the Anagram Quartet at Heritage Playhouse on Friday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in a concert presentation and CD launch.

Live Poets to host reading, workshop

Brad Cran and Gillian Jerome will present a double reading at Wheatberries Bakery and Bistro in Gibsons on Friday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. Canada Council for the Arts is sponsoring this reading that is free to attend.

Landing Music

Music in the Landing swings into the weekend tonight (Friday) in the Gazebo at the end of the wharf in Gibsonsfrom 7 to 8 p.m. with Anagram, the jazz duo of Anna Lumiere, keyboard,and Graham Ord, sax/flute with special guest John Rule on drums.
