In the Community

I’m caring for my aging mom, and it is hard, especially during these COVID times. I am finding my friends don’t understand what I am going through, and I feel very alone without a community of people to relate to.

From the looks of it, someone has turned the highway through the Gumboot Nation into some type of sod farm.

The Visitors Info Centre in Madeira Park is hiring travel ambassadors. This is a youth summer job for people 15 to 30. Work alone in a COVID-safe environment providing info and maps to visitors. Flexible hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

I began writing the Elphinstone community column three years ago this month! It’s been a fascinating journey and in spite of having lived in Area E for 39 years, I’ve learned heaps more about our community.
