It may be a little early but wanted to “get the word out” that it’s Halloween Pumpkin Trail time again in the Welcome Woods area. Organizers and the community work together to light up the trail between Lohn and Hart roads on Halloween night. Last year there was an overwhelming response with more than 60 pumpkins lining the trail. This is such a fun experience for kids and the community to walk the trail and see all the beautifully carved pumpkins lit up. If you would like to include your carved pumpkin, place it on the trail any time after 4:30 p.m. on Halloween night. Include a tea light, candle or battery operated, and volunteers will light the pumpkins just before dark.

Pumpkins will also be accepted at the Halfmoon Bay Community School so please contact Wendy at wwhite@sd46.bc.ca or call 604-551-8461 to arrange drop-off details.

New this year, the Halfmoon Bay Community Association will be set up at the Lohn Road end of the trail to offer a little extra Halloween fun. The next day, pumpkins will be collected and taken to a local farm for all the animals to enjoy. Thank you to all the volunteers that make this wonderful community event extra special!
