Editor: Instead of wasting our time on get-rich-quick schemes that only benefit the one per cent, like the George and a new airport, we need to focus on what would bring real growth and prosperity to all residents on the Sunshine Coast.

Editor: I read with wry amusement the article in the Nov. 14 Coast Reporter, “High tipping fees linked to more illegal dumping.” You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Editor: I noted, with some amusement, the only kick in the Nov. 14 Coast Reporter Kisses & Kicks section: “Kicks to the drivers through Roberts Creek who, at 50 to 60 kph lead a half-mile long parade of increasingly irate traffic.

Editor: We recently had the opportunity to hike through a section of first growth forest on the slopes of Mount Elphinstone, which is slated to be sold by BC Timber Sales (BCTS).

Editor: Last Tuesday, Nov. 11 my wife and I attended the Remembrance Day ceremony in Sechelt. This year’s commemoration was notable for a small, but moving vignette that added a poignancy to the occasion.
