Editor: The diatribes against John Henderson and the past council have gone on long enough. The people voted with their opinion as our democratic society upholds. It serves no useful purpose to continue to denigrate his work.

Editor: The Auditor General for Local Government’s report on the goings-on in the District of Sechelt makes interesting reading. Sadly, its findings cannot have come as a surprise to anyone who was paying attention during 2012/2014.

Editor: It is unbelievable that Sechelt’s ex-mayor should attempt to blame a former mayor and council for something the auditor general reported.

Editor: The short-sighted B.C./shíshálh Nation co-management dock plan (CDP) for Pender Harbour does not have the support of local residents because it is not comprehensive.

Editor: The Sechelt Indian Band with the provincial government gave residents 30 days to respond to a dock management plan for Pender Harbour, which they have been formatting for 10 years secretly and unveiled on April 7, with no previous consultatio

Editor: I read with interest in the May 8 Coast Reporter the update regarding SSC Properties plans for their proposed development of the Porpoise Bay site in east Porpoise Bay.

Editor: Michael Maser’s letter seems to take the same “I’m not capable of raising my own children” litany that has become so popular.

Editor: Have you ever thought about what will happen to your beloved dog if you suddenly die? I heard a sad story about an older, childless couple who had a dog they loved. The woman died in January.

Editor: As a review of Sechelt (formerly St. Mary’s) Hospital history will show, at the time when the doctors of the Coast needed a health care facility, the doctors approached my father to assist them.

Editor: The condition of Roberts Creek Provincial Picnic Park has deteriorated so much that it is practically unusable. Visitors to this little park will find that the picnic tables are surrounded by a stagnant black-water swamp.
