Editor: Last Friday (June 21) at the Horseshoe Bay terminal my seven-year-old granddaughter and I had to wait 50 minutes outside the toll booth because of the 10-minute cut off time before the "scheduled sailing time" - plus the ferry was 40 minutes

Editor: Before retirement, I spent 25 years in labour relations with several organizations and in many positions. For a period I worked in advocacy at the B.C.

Editor: John Gleeson deserves a medal of courage for his recent viewpoint ("A strategy of war in our time," Coast Reporter, June 21). He described the state of the world on the 50th anniversary of J.F.

Editor: In an effort to improve asset reliability and customer service going forward, BC Ferries has carried out a variety of improvement projects at Horseshoe Bay and Langdale terminals over the past five months.

Editor: My wife and I are frequent cyclists on the Sunshine Coast Highway between Halfmoon Bay and Sechelt. This year we have witnessed a large increase in the number of loaded logging trucks heading south.

I've had a lot of opportunity lately to be up close and personal with the medical establishment. In the later part of June, my husband had bypass surgery at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver.

When the calendar flips over to July and the weather heats up, the Sunshine Coast gets into festival mode - and what a festive time it is. This is a wonderful time to be a resident or a visitor in our fine community.

Editor: Someone should tell our MP John Weston that it is not enough to talk the talk; you have to walk the walk, and to date, Stephen Harper is only able to blow smoke.

Editor: I wish to congratulate John Gleeson on his latest column (Coast Reporter, June 28), and on his courage in being so outspoken.
