Editor: Re: “Questions about changing sea levels,” Letters, Jan. 22.

Editor: In your Jan. 15 front-page story, James Pawley states that the recent Paris Climate Summit is more important than the 1919 Treaty of Versailles. It is no such thing.

Editor: Recently, while walking my dogs in a local off-leash park, I led a young dog, who was not responding to calls and whistles, back to his owner.

Editor: Re: “Dealing with bullies: diplomacy or martial tactics?” (Coast Reporter, Jan. 15.) As a former teacher and school administrator in a First Nation community in northern B.C.

SCRD Directors: I’m tired of reading complaints from people unwilling to pay a gas tax to subsidize improved public transit (“Directors debate merits of gas tax,” Coast Reporter, Jan. 22).

Editor: I have written to the minister of highways and infrastructure as well as to the MLA for the Sunshine Coast, the SCRD and Capilano Highways Services to advise them that Redrooffs Road is a hazardous road and that the hazards need to be address

Gibsons Mayor and Council: I recorded the sea water level in Gibsons Harbour at 10:09 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 when the high tide predicted by Fisheries and Oceans Canada was 16.1 feet (4.91 metres) for normal barometric pressure of 1,000 millibars.
