Editor: The heated Vancouver market certainly appears to have spread to the Sunshine Coast over recent months. It isn’t infrequent to hear of houses selling over list price in record time.

Editor: I would like to thank Mayor Bruce Milne for doing a great job. In particular, I’m referring his realistic and non-grandiose view on sewage treatment, the single biggest perennial issue facing Sechelt taxpayers.

Editor: I have discovered that there are misconceptions relating to grief support groups. Some think that the group is about crying and they don’t want to feel sad anymore.

Editor: Like thousands and thousands of people living in B.C. who have voiced objection to permitting an LNG plant in Woodfibre, I implore our government to rescind permission.

Editor: I am concerned about the increase in littering on our beautiful coast. I walk with a plastic shopping bag and have it filled with garbage in less than 10 minutes. Everyone: please think about this, and clean up! Chris Wilkinson, Gibsons

Editor: Re: “Rick Hansen wowed by Coastal Craft yacht,” April 1. Rick Hansen and Brad McCannell, vice president for access and inclusion for the Rick Hansen Foundation, gave a 65-foot yacht the thumbs up for “accessibility.” Hmmmmmmm.

Editor: Re: “Tax dollars for tree stumps,” (letter by Doug and Sylvia Hockley, April 1). Agreed art is in the eyes of the beholder.

Editor: The April 1 issue of Coast Reporter mentioned the 2° Institute’s call for consumers to buy electric cars (“Group launches electric car campaign,” page 24).

Editor: When I read Mr. Lagassé’s letter (“MP shows lack of awareness,” March 18), although I disagreed with him completely, I was not going to write a letter about this subject, nor discuss this with Roger, who is an acquaintance of mine.
