Editor: I was disappointed to read comments made in a letter to the editor about the horrific dog attack in Sechelt (Coast Reporter, Jan.

When I was a kid growing up poor in northern B.C., our family was fond of one very over-used four letter "f" word -free. My brothers and sisters and I were taught early not to ask for many of the things other youngsters took for granted.

Editor: Keith Maxwell's letter regarding ferry costs (Coast Reporter, Jan. 4) is a cheery outlook if you believe thatallof us using the Langdale ferry are served by the current fares.

Editor: I am trying to understand the concept of parking at St. Mary's Hospital. Here you have Mental Health services located where many of the patients require services for anxiety, stress and anger issues.

Editor: Reading the papers over the last couple of weeks, I couldn't help but notice articles on Dakota Ridge and the so-called problem users of the road.

Editor: I was surprised to learn, after reading Coast Reporter Jan. 11, that what we need to solve the problems of our roadways is to install more signs - in particular high crash signs.

Editor: With a heavy heart I wanted to address the most recent letters in Coast Reporter regarding our mayor and council.

Editor: Everyone who plays soccer knows that Brothers Park has been closed since September 2012. That's right - closed. What has the town done to the park since September? Not much.
