I was surprised to learn, after reading Coast Reporter Jan. 11, that what we need to solve the problems of our roadways is to install more signs - in particular high crash signs.
For years I had been thinking that what we needed on the Sunshine Coast, especially in Roberts Creek, was a series of safety improvements such as shoulder widening, turning lanes, level intersections, road widening, curve reductions, sight improvement, hydro pole removal and rigorous maintenance of pot holes, pavement drops and mowing and grading.
What a relief to learn all that won't be necessary.
