Editor: So, is the approval of Northern Gateway a political science decision or a science-based decision? Our MP John Weston believes it is the latter as he stated on CTV Power Play on June 19.

Editor: We see this on a daily basis — dogs not properly restrained in a truck. Dogs riding in the back of pick-up trucks are at risk of serious injury. Think about your dog’s safety. Your dog could fall or be thrown out.

Editor: We are blessed with some wonderful hiking trails on the Sunshine Coast. One of them is a magical loop through the forest, an extension of the Big Tree Recreation Area accessed to the south of Trout Lake from the highway.

The following letter was sent to the Surveyor of Taxes in Victoria and copied to Coast Reporter. Re: 2014 rural property tax notice I am complaining to you about the 2014 rural tax notice. You have increased my taxes by 18.3 per cent.

Editor: MP John Weston made the national TV news on June 18. As he rushed past and was asked about Northern Gateway, his brief response was that he believed in science.

Editor: Some constituents have recently expressed concerns about the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline Project.

Editor: I am writing in response to Barry Janyk’s letter of June 19, ‘World’s best water wasted.’ While it is clearly a shame that the Gibsons water source has suffered this occurrence, I have to take exception to Mr. Janyk’s letter.
