Editor: The names given to things and ideas are very important. They can obfuscate reality and truth. “A rose by any other name” smells sweet only to a person who has experienced its fragrance.

Editor: Sechelt has a new wastewater treatment facility. It only required $4 million of, not taxpayers’ money, but sewer user fees.

Editor: The airport issue continues to take up time and resources. Some improvements for local and recreational flyers would be very nice but the cry to spend $12 million or more (most likely) to have a fully scheduled wheel service is silly.

Editor: I attended the Oct. 10 Sunshine Coast Regional District meeting where the issue of recent logging in the Chapman Creek drinking watershed was the first item on the agenda due to its emergency nature.
