Editor: Re: “BCTS removes three blocks in Gibsons aquifer recharge zone from map ‘to ensure clarity’” May 28. Removal of three blocks on the slopes of Mount Elphinstone is a very small step, but in the right direction.

Editor: Perhaps we should look to the Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB) when trying to understand the housing shortage. They have taken the rights of the property owners and given it to the tenant.

Editor: Re: “SCRD plans to call referendum if water meter AAP fails, says Siegers,” June 4. I thought no meant no.

Support remains strong for foreign buyer’s and speculation levies, but fewer than half of respondents think they will make the housing market more affordable

Editor: This letter was sent to Sechelt mayor and council regarding logging at Roberts Creek. It appears you are giving consideration to support logging several cutblocks through the Sunshine Coast Community Forest Ltd.

Editor: With a great deal of discussion about increasing the number of runs the ferry makes to alleviate congestion and wait times, perhaps increasing the size of the ferry used might be worth consideration. Bruce M. Shaw, Halfmoon Bay

Editor: With the critical B.C. film industry regaining momentum as pandemic restrictions ease, the Town of Gibsons’ redesign of its School Road/South Fletcher Road intersection couldn’t be better timed.

Editor: With another AAP for water meters in Sechelt coming up, it’s a good time to write about our experience with water meters in the Town of Gibsons.
