Learn to sail in Gibsons

The Gibsons Yacht Club (GYC) is getting set to launch its learn-to-sail program. "Last year we had 60 kids attend our classes. This year we are hoping for a similar number," said program coordinator Carl Armstrong.

Richey seeks national spot

It seems kind of fitting that Kyla Richey will be working to wear the mighty Maple Leaf on Canada's birthday. Kyla, 16, is one of only 50 athletes from across Canada who have been invited to a selection camp for the junior national volleyball team.
