More than 60 athletes ended the season with the Gibsons Grind

The Sunshine Coast Skating Club’s October Skater of the Month is Halle McHeffey. Halle is 13 and attends Elphinstone Secondary in Grade 8.

The Sunshine Coast Disc Golf Association (SCDGA) officially wrapped up its inaugural tournament series and ended the 2021 season with a bang at the SCDGA Championships on Sunday, Oct. 3.

As the fall season arrives, Special Olympics is moving towards a new beginning, albeit a little differently than we hoped. Registration at SCACL offices went off without a hitch.

The Sunshine Coast Skating Club’s Skater of the Month for September is Teigan Turner. Teigan is a 15-year-old Grade 10 Chatelech Secondary student who loves creating her own choreography and expressing herself through her skating.

The puck is ready to drop at the Gibsons & Area Community Centre on Saturday, Oct. 16 for the BC Elite Hockey League – and spectators are invited.

Hemstreet takes home three medals in one month

The Blue Ocean 9 Hole Ladies Club is happy to celebrate the 2021 winners list and photo. With over 80 members in our group this year, we are the largest league in the history of the golf course.

The Sunshine Coast Adult Hockey League (SCAHL) recently completed a series of summer drop-in ice slots through the month of August. Over the series, the league had 182 skaters and six goalies come out over seven ice times through the month of August.
