The Chatelech snowboard team completed another successful year of competition with an eighth place finish at the provincial championships in Rossland last month.

The rep soccer season came to a close in impressive fashion last week for the Sunshine Coast Storm as they captured the Commonwealth Cup in a 4-0 win over North Vancouver Lightning. The Storm attacked early as K.P.

Spring has sprung and the Gibsons Rugby and Athletic Club is in full swing. The women's soccer team ended their season in fine form at the year-end tournament on March 28, completing a very strong run they have been on since Christmas.

A group of women from the Sunshine Coast are ready to rock 'n roll derby style with the formation of a women's flat track derby team. Willow Heaton, a Coast resident, mother and art student, had a dream of starting the team last year.

It will be "fast-paced and fun" when the newly formed Sunshine Coast Water Polo Club holds its first session on Tuesday, March 30 in what members hope will be the beginning of a new sport on the Coast.
