Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week. Can you feel the weather changing? Fall is in the air, with the days being shorter and the mornings are most definitely cooler.

Thanks to the big hearts of Sunshine Coasters, the Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast was able to present a cheque for $3,000 to the Sechelt Food Bank on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

We have an abundance. As Coast residents used the COVID Lockdown to clean out closets, cupboards and carports, we all realized we have a lot of “stuff” that is in good shape, but now surplus to our needs.

The Bargain Barn will continue its two-for-one BOGO Sale though the last days of August at the Legion, Saturdays and Wednesdays. The pop-up remains for the month of September.

I hope everyone enjoyed their astronomy events this summer; July and August were genuine highlights. Comet NEOWISE was a very rare treat and the Perseids were nice, not great but neat nonetheless. September looks to be more low key.
