Editor: The great George debate has now officially devolved from the merely disappointing to the downright McCarthyesque. Members of GABC are being asked to name names. The latest such request comes from N. Hache of Gibsons in her letter in the Sept.

Editor: I am writing in reference to my letter to Coast Garibaldi Medical Health Officer Dr. Paul Martiquet, which was printed in your newspaper Sept. 12.

Editor: Re: Nick Vermeulen’s letter, LNG can be a win-win (Coast Reporter, Sept. 12), he spends a lot of time trying to convince us that the issue is “safety at sea setbacks.” His initial mistake however is to refer to LNG as “clean.

Editor: This word ‘synchronicity’ as an adjective, describes a recently successful festival.

Editor: In 2008, a controversial development proposal called ‘Shoal Bay’ stirred up Gibsons Landing. The proposed condominium complex on the waterfront was 65-feet tall.

The following letter was sent to MP John Weston and copied to Coast Reporter. Recently I went into Sechelt’s Canada Post office to purchase a stamp and mail a card.

Editor: We had guests recently from Germany and Richmond. They came on the bus and we met them at the Sechelt mall. They were impressed with the area, especially the whales in Davis Bay. We drove them to the 8:45 p.m. ferry.
