Editor: Thank goodness nothing came of the idea to ban roosters because of the noise they create. Most of us could tolerate that natural sound far more readily than those made by machines.

Editor: Just a correction to the article I read online, “Sunshine Dragons Abreast Sarasota bound.” There were four founding members of the Sunshine Dragons Abreast.

Editor: I read the article about Bruce Milne (Coast Reporter, Sept. 19) and it scared the heck out of me. Then I checked his website and it scared me even more. He states the main issue of the election is integrity and trust.

Editor: I have fielded some questions from seniors and families on the Coast regarding advanced foot care for seniors with serious medical conditions.

The following letter was sent to Lauren Tindall, director of St. Mary’s Hospital, and copied to Coast Reporter. My partner suffers from aggressive, terminal leukemia.

Editor: It’s time to reconsider a road link between Langdale and Squamish. For those of us who need or want to get to the Lower Mainland at our convenience, the advantages of a road link are obvious.

Editor: In my view the planned expansion of the Sechelt airport is entirely unnecessary. Sechelt has an airport adequately serving the needs of light aircraft from its 2,400-foot paved runway.

Editor: For isolated seniors living in Pender Harbour, losing your driver’s licence can be a death sentence. Over the next several years, B.C. is replacing all care cards with photo identification and chip technology.

Editor: As if there were not enough unaddressed concerns about the impact of barging coal in our adjacent waters, now comes another.

Editor: We wish to give our heartfelt thanks to Sunshine Coast search and rescue, RCMP, volunteers and many neighbours and friends for their support and determination to locate our “Uncle Andy” (Hansen).
