Editor: Amidst the campaign rhetoric and the downright mean-spirited antics of certain people, it would be nice to look at actual issues instead of attacking personalities.

Editor: I am writing to ask that we make decisions for leadership and representation for the next four years based on sound principles. I am embarrassed that we are behaving with such poor manners.

Editor: Election time is when we assess how things are going and decide if there should be a change of the guard. We recently returned from a month in the U.K.

Editor: I’m only just now in my 40s and admittedly did not pay much attention to municipal politics prior to the last six years, and a part of me is starting to miss those days.

Editor: We would like to thank all of the artists who were part of the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl. We have done the art crawl for three years. People who don’t do the art crawl are missing out on something really, really cool.

Editor: Two weeks ago a pair of paramedics bundled a 250-pound barely breathing lump into the back of an ambulance in the dead of night and took me to St. Mary’s Hospital in Sechelt.

Editor: In just six years our existence will radically change as we enter an era of total connectivity of people, places, and things promising.

Editor: It is common to hear folks criticize government workers. In this town, the Ministry of Social Development seems to attract more than its fair share of negative comment.
