Editor: The temporary closure of the south end of Glassford Road is in our opinion a commendable act by the Town in the effort to find ways of decreasing the speed and volume of traffic on a local neighbourhood road.

Editor: This is regarding the letter titled “Not a Water Option” by Linda Williams (Nov. 26). It was in response to a previous letter of mine.

Editor: RE: Rezoning application for 5556 and 5558 Nickerson Road to facilitate a 12-lot subdivision with 500 square metre minimum lot size. This proposed rezoning should be reviewed in the light of serious safety and good practice planning concerns.

Editor: Councillor Anne Marie De Andrade’s proposed bylaw to curtail feline (and rabbit etc.) freedom places its foundation on protection of the biosphere.

Editor: I believe that in extraordinary times such as these we must temper our expectations of the quality of service that we receive from people and companies that performance certain services.

Editor: As a lifetime resident of Gibsons and the Sunshine Coast, I was awestruck when a number of months ago “The Town” decided to “temporarily” close off the quickest and shortest access point to Gower Point Road from Glasfo
