EDITORIAL

Editor: Gibsons is well divided on the issue of the most recent so-called George Hotel development attempt, a job well done by savvy marketing.

Editor: It is interesting to note that despite a crane looming over Gibsons I have not heard a word of complaint about the new Soames Place development.

Editor: I am writing regarding the outdoor art galleries project article published on May 16. I’d like to make a clarification regarding the Gibsons Public Art Gallery (GPAG) portion of that article.

Editor: Punishing the innocent Our Lady the Holy Madonna as retribution for the misdeeds of deranged residential school priests strikes me as quite absurd. Why banish the name of St. Mary’s Hospital? There are better ways to achieve reconciliation.

Editor: We, the music teachers of School District No. 46, would like to acknowledge the widespread community support for music in our schools and to congratulate the school board for its commitment to music education.
