Editor: Recently I was walking with my dogs up at the power lines in Selma Park. About 100 feet from Reservoir Road on a wide dirt path, we came across a fresh deer skeleton that someone had unceremoniously dumped there.

Re: “SCRD chops, changes advisory committees” (Coast Reporter, Feb. 5). SCRD Board: I am concerned about the plan to disband SCRD volunteer advisory committees. Advisory committees are not simply another form of public engagement.

Editor: I would like to comment on one point in the article in Coast Reporter last week regarding Mayor Bruce Milne accepting an award for the Water Resource Centre.

Editor: Re: “Milne to accept award for sewage plant project,” Coast Reporter, Jan. 29. Oh, great. We, the taxpayers of Sechelt, have to find another $150,000 just to pump up the mayor’s tires.

Editor: In his Jan. 29 article, “Early years really count,” Paul Martiquet wrote: “The first six years of a child’s life are uniquely important to their entire future.
