Feb. 7 was a thrilling day for all the members of the Chatelech Ski Team because it was finals day against the North Shore League, competition they had never raced before. Even then, there were still some good results.

Skater of the month for February is Sophia McGarry. Sophia is 13 years old and is in Grade 8 at Chatelech Secondary School. Sophia attended her first competition with the club, which was the Regional Winterskate held in Richmond Feb. 1 to 3.

The first event of the Spring 2019 5-Dollar 5K Series is in the books! It was a cold but sunny morning with a couple of icy spots on the otherwise snow-less course.

The Chinooks swim team had another fantastic meet recently with new provincial times by Eloise Allen and Ava Hynd and many best times by all the swimmers.

Sunshine Coast Special Olympics curling team members prepare for their first ever trip to the SOBC Winter Games in Vernon. The Games will run from Feb. 21 to 24.
