People from all over the running spectrum are registering for Run the Rock, Texada Island's first marathon and half-marathon events Aug. 28.

Jesse Dill of Roberts Creek, a Gibsons Minor Ball Association alumni, was a member of the undefeated pitching staff of the Victoria Mavericks who took the trophy at the senior men's baseball provincial tournament in Kelowna on Aug. 1.
