Major medals for Coast athletes

The Sunshine Coast was well represented last weekend in Burnaby at the BC Senior Games, with Coast athletes excelling in the pool, on the track and in the water. Gibsons Barry Barone won three gold medals in track and field.

Gibsons Ryan Dempster appears to have found his form with the Texas Rangers. Dempster improved his record to 3-1 (8-6 overall) since the July 31 trade from the Chicago Cubs with a 9-3 win over the Minnesota Twins last Saturday afternoon.
