The Midway Power/Grass-hopper Pub Hitmen and Inlet Raiders drew first blood in their respective playoff series last Saturday at the Sunshine Coast Arena. The Hitmen edged the Roberts Creek Rangers 5-2 while the Raiders beat the Suncoast Flyers 7-1.

Chat boys finish 15th at provincials

The Chat boys saved their best for last, finishing the season on a high note last Saturday in Kamloops. Chat beat J.L. Crowe from Trail 68-37 to finish 15th out of 16 teams at the 2005 AA boys provincial basketball championships.

Gibsons Pigs edge Ridge Meadows

The Gibsons Pigs men's rugby club returned to the pitch in style on Saturday, picking up a win at home. On Saturday, the Pigs edged Ridge Meadows 15-7 at Cougar Field. With the win, Gibsons improved its second half record to 2-2.

The Midget House C1 squad will play for the playoff banner on Saturday in Squamish. The local squad finished the playoff round with a 6-1 win over Whistler last Sunday at home to finish on top in the round-robin playoff, one point ahead of Hollyburn.

Mission accomplished! The Chat senior boys scaled the basketball mountain last Thursday, slaying the Sutherland Sabres en route to their first North Shore AA title since 2002.

Scorpions win gold division title

You could almost hear the chorus of "We are the champions" as the U14 girls' Scorpions came off the field after a 1-1 draw with the Burnaby Blast last weekend. The Scorpions played a wonderful game.
