Smash girls open up strong

The Sunshine Coast Volleyball Club (SCVC) Smash U16 girls team played their first tournament of the season on March 11 in Richmond. Coaches Eric Pinfold and Jason Jenkins were pleased with the result.

SIB athletes in search of gold

Athletes from the Sechelt Indian Band (SIB) are searching for gold in Colorado this July. A total of 21 soccer players, ranging in age from 13 to 18 have been selected to be a part of Team B.C. for the 2006 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG).

A-division playoff matches set

The first round playoff match ups are set for the men's A-division hockey league. When the best of three semifinal round gets underway on Tuesday, first place Inlet Raiders will play the fourth place Roberts Creek Rangers.
