The first round playoff match ups are set for the men's A-division hockey league. When the best of three semifinal round gets underway on Tuesday, first place Inlet Raiders will play the fourth place Roberts Creek Rangers.

When the best of three semifinal round gets underway on Tuesday, first place Inlet Raiders will play the fourth place Roberts Creek Rangers.

Game two is March 18 with a decisive game three set for March 25.

The other semifinal series will be between second place and defending champion Midway Power/Grasshopper Pub Hitmen and the Suncoast Flyers.

Game one is March 16. Game two is March 18 with game three set for March 30.

All four teams wrapped up the regular season this week, each playing a pair of games.

The Raiders beat the Flyers 6-3 last Thursday night.

Jarred Rutley and Chris Young each scored a pair of goals, while Dave McClennan and Darren Kohuch added singles. Tom Poulton and Dave Starnes each added two assists.

Danny Baker scored twice for the Flyers with Jordie Radymski adding a single.

On March 4, the Hitmen beat the Rangers 6-3.

Jamie McPhail scored twice and added two assists, Darren Pollock scored once and added two assists, Bik Brar scored once and added two helpers, and Dan Fitchel added a goal and one assist.

Steve Chang, Peter Leverman and Jason Fodchuk replied for the Rangers.

On Tuesday night, the Flyers beat the Rangers 6-2 while the Hitmen beat the Raiders 4-2.

Mike Eistetter scored twice for the Flyers, with singles credited to Mike Lewis, Taylor Waters, Baker and Radymski. Baker also had two assists, as did Kyle Vaughn and Connor McCarthy.

Jeremy Hamp and Randy Younghusband scored for the Rangers.

McPhail led the way for the Hitmen with two goals while Brar and Ryan Paul added singles. Steve Stevenson added two assists.

Kohuch scored both goals for the Raiders.
