Bans now in effect for entire Sunshine Coast

Campfires are now banned in all areas of the Sunshine Coast as the fire rating is reaching extreme on a daily basis.

Sunshine Coast RCMP reported the following for July 30 to Aug. 6: On July 30, a two-vehicle collision occurred eastbound on Highway 101 at Bay Road in Sechelt,after the first vehicle stopped for the left-turning vehicle in front of it.

RCMP track down one stolen vehicle

Sunshine Coast RCMP have tracked down one of the vehicles reported stolen last week in a string of auto thefts over a five-day period. On Aug. 6, RCMP received a report of an abandoned truck in a back road located off Reed Road in Gibsons.
