On Thursday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sechelt Campus of Capilano University, the Continuing Education Department Eldercollege is offering a preview of 15 fall courses aimed at folks 55 and over.

Harvest Festival provides loads of fun

The Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden Society invites the whole community to its third annual Harvest Festival on Aug. 27. The event, slated for next Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. features loads of family fun, great food, and toe-tapping music.

The Pender Harbour Lions Club invites the community to celebrate all things garlic at its second annual Garlic Festival this weekend. The festival runs on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
