In the Community

On Sunday there were winners who had not even been born when the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Association (SCDRA) had its first race in August 1999. There were also drag racers who raced in 1999 and were back again for more.

Royal spent his leisure time on this vessel entertaining his abundance of friends and family, with his lead hand June Maynard, a very worthy first mate indeed!'

'When Grace was born, she was welcomed into the world with thunder and lightning, and she kept a little bit of that storm in her throughout her life with her boundless energy and loud voice.'

'Hans lived a great life living by the water and making friends wherever he went. A cup of coffee and a story with friends was always on his agenda. He worked hard and gave back to his community any way he could.'

'Sundy was happiest in fast cars and on motorcycles, sharing a laugh around a campfire, spending a day out crabbing and prawning on the boat, getting her hands dirty gardening (no one grew more beautiful dahlias and roses), cooking delicious meals for those she loved, and spending quality time with her grandchildren.'

July 24, 2023 It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Aebi (nee Pybus). She leaves behind many family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church.

Sunshine Coast Yacht Club hosted regatta July 22, 23

Hundreds of people turned out for Roberts Creek's Creek Daze 2023 on Aug. 13, which included the Higgledy Piggledy Parade, the community festival with booths and entertainment, Slow Sundays music offerings behind the library and the library's giant book sale.
