'Ernie worked at Howe Sound Pulp & Paper as a longshoreman and locomotive operator. He loved working in his garden and tending his flowers. He was generous with the fruits and vegetables of his labour. He was also an avid miniature car collector and he proudly displayed them for his wife to "lovingly" dust. He will be missed.'

Langdale Elementary School student Seth Lamoureux recently participated in an Aquamarathon fundraiser for his year-end Grade 7 graduation camping trip. Seth was asking for sponsors – gathering 25 cent and $1 per pool length pledges – when one local pledged $25 per length.
