Nancy Annette Winegarden (nee Dubois), born October 7, 1947 in Garden Bay, B.C., died September 9, 2023 at age 75 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Survived by daughter Deborah (Steve) Cyr, son Andy Cook, grandchildren Andrea Cook, Robbie Gurney (Jillian), Eric Gurney, Sara Gurney (Trevor), and Rose Gurney (Kelly), great-grandchildren Wesley, Mason, Oliver, Vienna, Ezra, Hayden, and Matteii. Nancy had many more relatives and friends not listed here.

Nancy's Christian faith gave her strength through her life. She led a full and happy life. She was an amazing businesswoman and entrepreneur. She started and ran several fitness centers, accounting, businesses, and an Internet café. In her younger years, she was a country and western singer touring through Alberta and British Columbia. She was a soft, gentle, sweet mother and grandmother.

Nancy didn't want a funeral, she wanted a celebration of her life. She knew she was going to heaven when she died saying, "I will live forever in heaven. Please be happy until I see you again". Her celebration of life will be held at Pender Harbour Community Church on September 30 at 11am.
