June Stella Niven (nee Strilchuk), born in Round Hill, Alberta to Magdalene and Joseph Strilchuk. She grew up the middle child of 11 siblings, graduated from nursing school in Edmonton, worked as a registered nurse at Surrey Memorial and Sechelt Hospitals. After retirement she enjoyed helping at the baby clinic and volunteer shopping at Claytons.

She married Francis (Frank) Bailey Niven on November 13, 1964 and together they had two daughters, Kathy (Jim) and Susan (Stuart). Mom's biggest joy was her grandchildren, Taylor and Jamie. Mom was an amazing seamstress and made the best blackberry pie you would ever taste. Her crochet work was astonishing and cherished by all who received her generous gifts.

Mom was predeceased by Dad in 2013, her parents and her siblings Irene, Alice, Delrose, Ken, Sharon, Gail, Dennis and her beloved niece Barbie. She is survived by her siblings Ted (Ona) Cleone and Kathy as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom will be missed by many and has left us many lovely memories. There will be no service by request.
