In the Community

Last year, Sunshine Coast residents packed 722 gift filled shoeboxes for underprivileged children, many whom are in war torn countries, simply by putting school supplies, hygiene items and a few toys into a shoebox.

The addition of the AEDs, which includes outfitting the RCMP police boat, will greatly increase chances of survival for members of our community suffering a cardiac event while emergency services are responding, extending the window for response by up to one hour in some cases. 

On Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Roberts Creek Hall, the Sunshine Coast Grandmothers and Grand Others will hold their annual Bazaar from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Coffee House tonight, Friday, Nov. 10 at the School of Music welcome performers James Millar and Spindrift featuring Randy Shepherd, Garth Oliver Bowen, and Charlie Veaudry. Doors open at 7 p.m. Music at 7:30 p.m. $10 suggested donation at the door.
