Editor: I have just returned from visiting friends in Nanoose Bay and they are extremely concerned about the presence of bow hunters in their community.

Editor: For 17 days Canadians engaged in a massive outpouring of national pride as athletes representing our country delivered a stunning performance that saw Canada with the most medals it has ever won in history. I was born in the Ukraine.

Editor: A few years ago Franklin Road had some major work done on it. The Town's original plans were for a three-lane monstrosity, with concrete sidewalks lining the road.

I am frequently amazed by the lightning speed with which things change in our ever-evolving, high-tech world. What was the far-fetched stuff science fiction was made of a few years ago is now the norm.

In a recent editorial, we questioned B.C. Ferries and, more specifically, the provincial government and their apathy towards implementing recommendations to improve the ferry service contained in the comptroller's report from late last year.

Editor: Sincere and enthusiastic kudos to the directors of the Sunshine Coast Regional District for following their sustainability policy and voting for a transfer station for Area A.

Editor: I would like to congratulate the people of B.C. for their hard work to bring out the best Olympics I have ever seen - in person and on television. The opening ceremonies amazed. Even the commercials were worth watching.
