Editor: I was glad to read Jenny Wagler's op-ed on the monarchy (Coast Reporter, Nov. 19) because she raises an issue that deserves thoughtful discussion. That said, I respectfully disagree.

The following letter was sent to Cathy Kenny, solid waste management co-ordinator at the Sunshine Coast Regional District, and copied to Coast Reporter.

Editor: Recent letters have mentioned cuts the Board of Education needed to make in order to balance the 2010/11 budget last spring.

Editor: If you are driving around Gibsons looking for a Christmas event to attend, try finding the Town's bulletin boards instead of looking on the usual poles that have in past posted events.

Editor: As a CUPE member working in School District No. 46, I remember the spring of 2010 very well.

The following letter was sent to Ministry of Trans-portation and Infra-structure Minister Shirley Bond and copied to Coast Reporter.

No family should have to go through the torment and anguish that the May family is going through.

Editor: Laws for people recognize a difference between property crime and assault. If you attack a person, it is considered a more serious crime than theft or vandalism. This also applies to pets.

Editor: In the District of Sechelt council briefs (Coast Reporter, Nov. 12) you reported on Coun. Fred Taylor's committee resignations and quoted him saying that the Davis Bay project was lost through "catering to NIMBY-ism in that community.
