Editor: The impact of the documentary movie Miss Representation was astounding. Everyone on the Coast should have seen this material. In fact, the whole country needs to be hit in the face with it.

Editor: Again we receive mailings from BC Hydro, Fortis Gas and others in their noble efforts to save trees and paper and convert to on-line billing.

Editor: I wish to compliment Coast Reporter for the extra layer of depth it offered in its reporting of campaign financing in Gibsons (Coast Reporter, March 30).

Editor: Prime Minister Stephen Harper's budget is about cutting $5.6 billion from our public programs. People will have to wait two years longer to age 67 to qualify for their Old Age Security pensions.

Editor: I was very disappointed today (March 30) when I read the paper and there was no schedule of community meetings with MP John Weston to determine whether our representative should support the Harper budget.

Editor: On Thursday, March 29, I received an email telling me that my BMO account has been suspended unless I answered a series of questions. I did not respond.

The debate continues at the Town of Gibsons over what to charge people who draw water from well number one. This week, councillors decided to lower the charge to 20 cents a litre, down from the proposed 25 cents.

Editor: To understand the logging protest of the lower slopes on Mount Elphinstone, one needs to use eagle vision that looks at things from altitude with a bigger perspective.
