Editor: I was sickened to read of the intention to kill two healthy young cougars that have done no harm (“Cougar trap set in Gibsons,” June 12). I once believed Sunshine Coasters respected the land we live on, the creatures we share it with.

Editor: Thank you for your article on Bill 11, the Education Statutes Amendment Act, and how school boards are concerned about losing power (“Bill 11 leaves next school year unclear,” June 12).

Dear Family and Friends: It takes a village to raise a child. We would like to thank you, our extended family and community, for your support and life-long encouragement for our son and brother Daniel.

Editor: Saturday’s community forum on docks in Pender Harbour was a sad experience, tainted by disrespect, loud-mouthed confrontation, near mob-rule and a noticeable police presence.

Editor: I read the article re: the Blue Ocean Golf Club and Lamborghini hotel (Coast Reporter, May 29). What the blazes is a Lamborghini hotel? Sounds snooty. I picture rich people arriving in Lamborghinis and BMWs.

Editor: The controversy over the Persephone Beer Farm and the SCRD is not about one member of the SCRD over another member. The issue that Silas White and Brian Smith are sidestepping has to do with respect for zoning and bylaws.
