'Why is council more interested in catering to the commercial STR owners who subject our neighbourhoods to the disruptions and challenges of mini-hotels in a residential area, rather than protecting the peace and quiet of neighbourhoods for those that actually live in Sechelt? '

Editor: I was saddened to see the photo of Elphinstone Secondary’s film festival; hundreds, clearly, attending (including children) and, to my aging eyes, not a single mask in evidence.

Editor: A comment on Anna Edmondson’s letter headed, “We deserve to be buried locally.” I’m not sure how many “coasters” would agree with the heading.

'Responsible pet owners keep their dogs clean and use modern medicines to kill ticks and fleas. They discourage excess barking and leave their dogs with friends when they need to be out. Owners are always responsible to clean up after their dogs if they have an accident in public spaces. There are volunteers that will walk dogs for seniors.'

'It is inconceivable to me that after being on water restrictions for over nine months and, in a state of emergency for the lack of water, that our elected council and people on the SCRD voted down John Henderson’s water motion and are still procrastinating and stalling on moving forward on giving this town its water.'

Thank you, IGA! Last weekend while shopping at the IGA in Wilson Creek, I stumbled and fell. Almost immediately, two male staff members were there to help, saying that they both had First Aid certification.

'I think the residents of Sechelt have to give John Henderson at least some credit for trying to get a more immediate water supply for the Sunshine Coast.'
